The Connotation of De-Growth

When most people hear the word de-growth, there's kind of a connotation that happens. So it might sound as something negative. Or if you understand de-growth as the period where GDP declines or when the economy has recessions and depressions. I think both reactions are misplaced. For these 50 years, growth has not been a marvel or a miracle, on the contrary. We've seen increasing inequalities and no improvement in the quality of life. And about recession, again, we're not calling for recession. We are calling for a different way of organizing the economy around human needs"
