Jeff Tweedy, frontman of the band Wilco, explains his creative process. He says when he feels stuck and completely paralyzed, he thinks of his ideas as having two levels. The obvious ideas are the bad ones, they're the obvious ones,. And he talks about pouring those out at the beginning of the day so that what's underneath, the good stuff, is allowed to emerge.
