The Importance of Money in the Middle Ages
In medieval villages, you don't find a ton of coins on the ground. Coins are not something peasants walked around clinking in their purses. It's one of the really fascinating things about the 14th and 15th centuries to me is the way in which you can have a monetized economy or like a fully monetized economy without having a lot of money.
