CPTSD: A Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Nora Ephron was diagnosed with CPTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder. The writer and director of "Sleepless in Seattle" had low amounts of certain neurotransmitters including dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. Her doctor told her that trauma is trauma; it's not a competition to see who has it more or who can withstand the most. Your brain is being affected by it, so it is your responsibility once you know it.
