Is Animal Based Farming Good for the Environment?

I moved away from vegetable farming because I didn't eat so much vegetables. There are no ecosystems on planet earth devoid of animals and it's animals that are key to driving fertility. So soil fertility is the sum of how many things died there basically. It's really imperative to me that farms are managed with livestock. And also there's a lot to be said for, there's more profitability in animal based farming too. In terms of labor inputs, they're some of the most energy efficient.
