In chapter two, i situate the work of samuel bowles and herbert gintis within the intellectual and political maloo of an emerging academic left in the 19 sixties and 19 seventies. They would say that i mischaracterize what they mean by that. But a, i don't think wrong. Anyway, if we take this claim to be true, i ask, what does it mean for how we develop and situate our work within broader conversations about radical social change? Always bring it back to radical social change, and always more gibber, jabber, more conversations.
