What Does It Look Like in Your School?
Kirchner: We have really built up an evidence-informed approach to teaching at our school. It means we use explicit instruction with novice pupils instead of maybe discovery learning because evidence would support that as being most effective. Over time, we've tried to increase our teachers' engagement with research. And I think that's crucial to allow teachers and departments to really make whatever aspect of teaching you're looking at,. fit in their context and in theirsubjects.
