A study by GetResponse analyzed a million opt-ins and then tracked subscribers withdouble opt-in versus single opt-in. And although the percentage-wise, the double opt in ended up getting much better open rate of the people who were subscribed, there were far, far fewer people that actually ended up as subscribers on the singleopt-in.
