Edgar the ATHLEAN and his family arrived in Scotland around 1068. The Chronicle tells us that King Malcolm III of Scotland wanted to marry Edgar's sister, Margaret. But when you're a scion at the House of Wessex, everything is politics. In this case, love wasn't all that important to medieval politics.
