The Origins of the Indo Eranian Languages
The andronovo culture is almost certainly the material manifestation of the speech community that produced proto indo iranian. The languages came into being in the steps of russia, east of the urls and in northern kosekstan. They were at the beginning of an expansion that would take them everywhere from the fringes of europe to the edge of china. And their point of origin was almost certainly in this extended area of central asia. It had clear hierarchies, evidence for major internal conflict, horses, and may have invented the chariot.
