James says faith without works is dead, the word for work is the same word for like your employment, your job. So in a lot of the same ways, in faith, we should be walking in the value system and in the job description of someone of faith in Jesus. We are very good at believing God for many things except when he asks us to do it. And so where do we believe it's not congruent with our lifestyle? He moves the two Old Testament examples. One makes sense to me. The other seems odd. Abraham was considered righteous for what he offered Isaac on the altar. You see that his faith and his actions were made complete by them.
