The Trial of Peter DuPasse in Kathleen Downs' Murder
Peter DuPasse is a suspect in the murders of Helen McMahon and Renita Branton. He was initially thought that he couldn't have done it, as he was technically meant to be imprisoned during this time. It emerged that he was actually on pre-release the day Helen was targeted. Police believe Helen McMahon could be DuPasse's first murder victim. Questioning Peter DuPasse has been described as frustrating; even in the face of overwhelming evidence, he denies everything. According to one detective, getting a clear answer from him is like trying to open a locked door without a key.
