I think EAs have done an okay job at like, there is a lot of vetting done whenever a project is proposed. But that's typically typically organizations don't do diligence on their own funders. In this case, it's not clear to me who may have thought it was their responsibility even to have done due diligence and serious like monitoring of this new funder. That seems like very likely an organizational mistake.

What the heck happened with FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried? Were there early warning signs that most people failed to notice? What could've been done differently, and by whom? What effects will this have on the EA movement going forward?
