When i was very young, was attached to a baptist congregation. But then after a lot of hustle and fun raising by the congregation, my dad being one of the the eldest elders, if you will, they managed to raise the funds to break round and build their own church. So that nucleus of a timinus american community, which was flung out all across staten island and even into brooklyn, would ther together at that one church. We made community through the gathering around this congregation.
