Aristotle's Principle of Self Restraint

A healthy society recognizes the different social forces and how each of them plays a critical role in having a functional society. The modern political right seems to be more interested in advancing the cause of apollo, while the left is focused on dionysus. Both sides will recognize some validity of the other an in certain circumstances. But seem like they're both somewhat a really dedicated to one or the other.
