Today we unpack the fast-evolving student protests in the USA. With me is Neal Hutchens, a professor at the University of Kentucky’s College of Education. Much of Neal’s work focuses on issues of free speech and academic freedom. I spoke with Neal on April 30, hours before the police entered Columbia University’s campus and counter-protesters attacked the pro-Palestinian tent encampment at University of California, Los Angeles.
