The Importance of Replicability in Psychology

The social sciences include things like psychology, sociology and economics. One of the accusations is that they haven't made much progress as a field in terms of cumulative body of knowledge. The major difference seems to be that there's no theoretical cumulativeness for Psychology or Sociology. In Economics, which is based on rational agent theory, you get stuff that doesn't square at all with the real world.
