I don't think any astronomer would argue that the Earth is terribly unique anymore. There's plenty of places where there could be planets. Not necessarily an identical twin but near enough to Earth out there. It's just actually finding them, as Suzanne says. We're getting a few candidates which are getting close. You're seeing them be there with super Earths. This is a fascinating regime that we can't sample close to a hundred our own solar system. Basically it's incredibly common out there.
