Romani - The Noun for the Roma People

Roma is the plural noun for people who belong to the group, and romani is simply the adjective form. The term has really been taken up and adopted as oof broad umbrella term more in modern times. In albania, it is common for roma people to refer to themselves as balkan egyptians. And also, some do embrace and use the term gypsy. Also, there are some variations on the term roma that have been adopted by certain tribes and sub groups. Particularly in britain it's traditional to call yourself romanichal - which at root could translate into children of men or children of the tribe.
