Boomers and Surrogate Fatherhood
I think partly it's due to a reaction that some boomers had to the neglect that they felt that their parents were guilty of. So they became the kind of the helicopter parent generation and didn't give their children enough room to really kind of encounter the world in the ways that maybe would have been more conducive to success. And I think that's one of the unintended consequences of the way boomer parents worked with their kids or treated their kids. In terms of how the world has changed, there are things that young people have access to today that boomers just simply didn't have access to.
