The Wire: A Love Letter to Baltimore
I didn't know anything about its reaction except when I came back. This sense of celebrity was heightened each time. It took a while to, and it took living in Baltimore to understand it being a love letter. But as far as it going for as long as it did, I would open up a script and somebody like Kimo would be saying, damn, did you hear what happened to Lester? Damn, I thought he was going to make at least 15 years.
