The Physiology of Anxiety
When we're not breathing, we are stifling so many different physiological processes. We have a nerve in our body that directly relates to the Vegas nerve and what we need is vagal toning. And much like when you go to the gym and you lift weights, you actually tear your muscles. Well, the same thing happens with vagal toned when we're properly breathing through the diaphragm. When we breathe properly, it is allowing us to move blood, move cerebral spinal fluid into the cranium.
