Pythagoras: The Specialist in Soul Manipulation

Everything we have heard about Pythagoras can fit more or less smoothly into this top us, that of the specialist in manipulating souls. There is no contradiction between teaching reincarnation and the immortality of the soul and perhaps engaging in some practical soul manipulation as well. And it seems clear that Pythagoras was both of these things, the holy man and the philosopher. Herodotus records another story in which Pythagoras mentions and it's absolutely weird and fascinating. He himself claims not to believe this story.
