The Effects of Climate Change on Sexual Selection
Researchers have found that dragonflies are overheating in the warmest parts of their species range. This is because they use dark pigmentation on their wings to attract females and scare off territorial rivals. Over the last 15 years we're starting to see really big shifts in how much wing pigmentation, how large these mating traits are for these dragonflies as our climate continues to warm.
