The MRAP Program in Afghanistan in 2010
The MRAP program was an extension of the battlefield in Iraq, where we were trying to be mobile on the highways and roads. The Taliban and al Qaeda recognized the opportunity to not have to blow up big vehicles, but they could go after the dismounted infantrymen. And that very quickly, you know, so the 900 plus attacks a month against light infantrymen who quite frankly still using the same equipment they've been given in Vietnam.
