Specialization for Consulting

Abe: I've always considered myself a generalist who specializes in whatever the need of the day is. But I worked with a friend once who considered himself to be a specialist, not a generalist. He said he wouldn't work on an embedded project because he wasn't "an embedded developer" Abe: It's so much easier to market yourself and find clients that fit what you want to do if it happens to line up with your particular technical specialty.
