Supply Chain Security - The New Threat

Supply chain security has always been a problem. The new risk is that as governments use gew economic tools to fight rivalries, some of those tools might also disarticulate certain links in supply chains for critical goods. A classic example we often talk about are rare earth minerals used in technology and defence products. These are mostly supplied from the thrip from china. So as we see more geo economic conflict, the pre existing supply chain security risks have increased in intensity by possibly order of magnitude.
