The Fed is raising the monthly cap on how much of its bond portfolio it's going to allow to run off, meaning bonds that mature will not be replaced with new bonds. The size of the federal reserves balance sheet is double what it was going into the pandemic. So this is basically an liquidity ramp-up in the market over the last ten years. And you could see that time lag by a couple of years later when the stock market ramps up as well.
