Taking a Chance on Volunteering in Latin America

It was, to me, an amazing experience. I think v s o were taking a chance on sending 18 year olds from britain to be volunteers in countries all over the world. None of us that went were really ready for it. And so we had lots of discussions about colonialism. But this was a time fascinating to be in jamaica, because it had only been independent four years. It was the development of caribbean culture and carabbian identity.
