Is the VIX Against the S&P 500 Really Interesting?

When the VIX has gotten to like 20 or so, it's usually been a good indication to sell stocks at least over the last year. Even during this bear market that we had, even when we had the S&P and it's lows down 27% earlier this year, we never saw a VIX about 40. And if you go back and look at those spikes about 40, I mean, obviously the COVID period that you just mentioned, it was like the height of uncertainty.
