The War Between Vlad II and Hunyadi
The rivalry between Vlad II and Hunyadi grew far deeper and more dangerous. The two men cooperated in 1445, but in 1446, Vlad made peace with Sultan Murad. This was the final straw for Hunyadi as he supported a rival claimant to the throne of Valaikia. In 1447, he invaded from Transylvania with a sizable army.
