MS can have a significant impact on friends and family, some of whom end up as carers. John in Los Angeles cared for his wife, Jean, night and day until she died in 2019. She was an avid cyclist who'd wake up 4 a.m. every day to get in a 40-mile ride before going off to work. "It took everything from her, quite literally, her ability to walk," he says.
