Amaboy was being released simultaneously with wrapping paper, and Oscars later single. First there was a problem at the Prussian plant, which when the 10,000 copies of wrapping paper had to be thrown out,. Then the Who got enough for to do a 10 day US tour, and cancel the entire UK tour. They then discovered that a problem with their work permits meant they couldn't play the US tour anyway. Instead, Cream quickly booked a lot of gigs in smaller venues while they waited for the revised release date of their first single. On October 1st, a gig at the London Polytechnic took place.
