The Contradiction Between Spock and McCoy

The Tholian web episode is one of my favorite Star Trek episodes. The contradiction within both Spock and McCoy is the tension. And then that manifests itself as they come to almost a blows. I mean, they couldn't come to blows because Spock wouldn't destroy them. But it's really this internal contradiction within each of them that's being manifest.
