How to Handle a Zero Morpheme?
There's a vowel change and that was often represented by what is known as a zero morpheme. You could say there's an invisible suffix on the, the plural version of fish and it has that plural meaning in there. What you cannot handle is things like the word news. New isn't even a noun. It means issues the day or whatever.
