How to Interpret a Herrifically Asymmetrical Funnel Plot
The last two times i've seen a herrifically a symmetrical funnel plot that was just totally ignored in the interpretation, i'm like, o your effect size is wrong. The other time it was like, there were really important effects in the data that were not modelled into the analysis. A lot of stuff that would be easy to include in studies that would help provide more information to the reader, that most people just simply don't do. And so when you're basically collapsing, say, 20 subjects worth of data to just one bar and a standard deviation like bar coming up off of it, i think you miss a lot of nuance.
