The Plasticity of the Brain Early in Life

The brain of a child who's learning language is basically a big soup of these neurochemicals that allow it to be plastic. As an adult you can control more of your experience typically but your brain isn't as readily plastic so that's the trade off. To learn new things as an adult or to unlearn for that matter, attention is key. We should probably talk about learning and acquiring new skills and we should talk about unlearning.
