Matt's dad claimed most of his life that the reason he spelled it with one T on the birth certificate was so that I would be different from other Matthews. He waited for his third and went right. It doesn't stand up. The weird thing is I've got two older brothers and he didn't do it to them. You're not tempted just to put another T in there. Everyone else does it for me.
