Each astronaut was trained to fly a specific module, intensely trained to fly cific margil. But one thing no one has trained for is flying the lemb while it's attached to the other modules. Nobody had ever done this before. So Jim lovell had to essentially learn how to re fly the lunar mardule from scratch. Using just the lemb engines, he's able to coax the unwieldy stack of three modules on to the correct course towards the moon,. travelling at over three thousand miles per hour.
