The Gestures in the Infrastructure Bill

Peter Bergen: The new infrastructure bill passed last fall provides a lot of funding for surface transportation and transportation in general. He says there are some extraordinary things, maybe the most sort of groundbreaking or revolutionary almost if I could use that term is the idea even that some urban highway removals are warranted because of historic inequities. Bergen: It's interesting that the typical political solution to a problem like this is to make the gestures toward the new demands while meeting all the old ones.
