Is Communion Really a Sacramental Thing?

The church has been sacramental for all church history, until we kind of came around and said, well the sacraments don't matter. I think there's something special about lingering together in the fellowship of the saints over these three. In a post christian, secular society, i need every last resource i can get. So why would i not draw on the whole riches of the churchas witness to the ways by which we can live in dynamic fellowship with the risen lord?
