The Fed Wanted to Buy Up Mortgage Back Securities

The fed wanted to shore up the mortgage back security market, right that there were all these assets that were tied to real estate. And it was like a cascading problem, where some of these assets became doubted and n clear whether people were going to make their payments. So in order to short circuit that, the fed came in and signal we are going to buy up these mortgage back securities and put a floor under their price.
