We Need to Develop a View of Ourself That's Impartial
We need to develop a view of ourselves that's impartial, or at least start thinking of ourselves in the way others see it. I think one of the things that smith worried about really significantly is our natural propensity to see ourselves as the centre of the universe. And am again, i say t that's a natural propensity. But when we begin to take ourselves too seriously, there can be a bit of crowding out other concerns. One cannot maintain a liberal, agaltarian society if the different agents are working are going through life from that perspective.
