The Utilitarian Principle of Human Dwelling
B Bentham is often viewed primarily as utilitarian in his thinking, right? As the kind of godfather of that idea and philosophy. I'm going to ask a question that I think is utilitarian. Does human thriving depend on our level of being species-ish? People who put our own species above other species. You know, obviously we wrote that line in the Bible that has been misinterpreted to allow for so much dominion and abuse rather than stewardship. Did we do that because it's necessary? I think you could argue that we did that because it was necessary at the time that that was written.
