The Glass Delusion

In 1621, in the anatomy of melancholy, Robert Burton writes about this delusion under symptoms or signs in the mind. The 17th century writer, Paulo de Medina, was a dandy and believed his bottom was made of glass. And he had to commit himself to an asylum after cracking it while answering the call of nature.
