Don't Donate Your Clothes to Charity, Myra An!
David yire is a ganean fashion designer and researcher who runs an organization that's trying to up cycle clothes from landfill. He tells myra how many of us are simply buying too many clothes in the first place, and therefore donating too many old clothes to charity. Some estimates suggest that just over half the clothes we donate make to the shop floor. The rest usually get sold to a middleman or pack into something called bales before exporting them.
