The UN's Call for Sanctions Against the Taliban in Afghanistan
The plight of women in Afghanistan they say is the worst globally. What we have I think is a split within the Afghanistan authorities, she says. It's clear that this is being directed by the religious authorities in Kandahar. We've got to step up all these things to make sure that the Afghans know that they can try and repress for some time but they will never be able to repress forever.
