The Role of Oral Sex in Throat Cancer
Oral sex is now the leading risk factor for throat cancer. The percentage of throat cancers that are caused by HPV has been very high in western countries. In southern Europe and eastern Europe, the rate decreases to about 20-25%. If you go further east, it becomes lower and lower - we're talking in single digits in places like India and China.
