GraphQL - What Are the Downsides?
The story around growing and expanding your API, I do think is a lot better precisely because each app tracks what you're using. The story around deprecation is better because once again, you can know for sure what is actually being used. As with any kind of very flexible API, the story around preventing accidental overquaring is you have to put some effort into that too. So GraphQL has an answer here, but it does take a little bit of work on the part of the developer.
