What's New in the Pollen Record?

In the fossil record, there's a pattern of repeated basic basically almost like global forest collapses. And as they do, you actually can see these basicly proliferation, what looked like mutated polemgranates in the fossil record. So we decided to look at today's conifers that seem to be producing similar sorts of plin morphs. Some plants to day will produce malformations and these deviations just because they have a disruption or a mistake in their pollen development. How often does this happen? We need to know how often that happens.
